Have you been asking “What on Earth is happening here. . . on Earth?” This is a question which has been asked by people throughout history and has been speculated by both the wise and fools ever since the beginning of time. One of the most discussed and controversial books ever written, The Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ to St. John, found in the Christian Holy Bible today stands in the midst of this question. Why is this book so important? Why is it written in an allegorical, “secretive” language which seems to cause more confusion than answers to the basic question? And even if this description the apostle tells is accurate how can we know where we are at in its forecasts?

This book is Volume Two of The Espirational Truth Ministries’ continuing series on the systematic research which its founders have been doing for over 50 years. Volume One was where the author explained what the prophetic, allegoric language is and how the definitions to the figurative language is found in Bible parables and prophecies as they were discovered and found. It contains a glossary of many of the common terms used in the Bible parables and The RevelationVolume Two of this series called REVEALED is a stand alone volume which builds on the theory presented in Volume One where the allegorical language of the prophecy as presented by John has been removed using the literal language as defined by the Bible itself. Then, as shown to be done by Old Testament prophets like Daniel the prophetic writing of The Revelation is carefully correlated with history. This current Kindle edition has footnotes showing how events which has occurred since this book’s original publication in 1988 have progressively pushed Earth’s history further along the path toward prophetic fulfillment as described by John.

This is not just another doom and gloom book of predictions which talks about the “end days” and the ultimate destruction of Earth and Earth’s inhabitants. If you read to the end of the book you will see how humans have a glorious future promised where we are returned to our proper place of being citizens of the Universe created by a loving God. We will finally realize that we are spiritual beings having a human experience who are invited into eternity by the creator of us all. Please read this book and share it with others. We all need hope in this chaotic world we live in today. That’s what this book offers.

Why is The Revelation in Code?

(The article below is an answer I composed to a question poised on the Christian Chat forum and presented here for the visitors to my sight to read also.)
Just some off hand things about Revelation. If you start from chapter 4 and try to read the rest of Revelation as you would any other written description of events you will be confused. There are to be 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of the tribes of Israel when the tribes of Israel ceased long ago. At the final battle vultures will eat the bodies of horses when horses are not used in battle today. Don’t get the wrong idea, I believe that Revelation is inspired of God, however do we assume the 144 thousand Jews just meant consecrated Jews and the horses meant machines? Also, why is Rev written in such an unorthodox manner that it cannot be understood in the traditional way? Anyone have any good answers?
Hi Samuel23,
Thank you for your question. What a wonderful way for me to start my social campaign for the research life work I started working on over 50 years ago. The questions you have asked here are questions which have been asked repeatedly for the past 2000 years and answered by scores of scholars, theologians and laymen alike; those claiming to have the gift of prophecy given by YHWH, God, himself, or through a multitude of years in theological schools and other intensive study. Most of the answers you have received in this forum thus far have been well thought out and mostly provable points generally taught by the “dispensationalists.” I especially appreciate the points made by tanakh who referred you to find direction toward understanding The Book of The Revelation in the Bible’s Old Testament prophetic writings, and the opening statement made by Stunnedbygrace who stated that: “I think Revelation is written in a form that is so confusing to the human mind that no man will figure out any part of it without the Holy Spirits help.”

I asked for that help when I was but still a teenager and had an experience which ended up in an intensive Biblical study which lasted about 25 years with a self-published rough draft of a book explaining the process I went through and the basic understanding of the prophecy as given in The Revelation. This book answers the type of questions you have asked here in this forum and many others, but it does not follow conventional dispensational thought, nor specifically any other theory/theology being promoted by the current day theologians. Room and courtesy does not allow a detailed accounting for how the prophecies are best interpreted here in this forum, however you can read my book free if you have a Kindle Unlimited membership. The book is for sale on Kindle also at a low price which I mention only to let you know at risk of being censored by this Web-sites managers for breaking the forum’s marketing rules. This is mention of my book is for your information only and not intended to specifically promote the sale of my book. You can find it by entering “Robbins REVEALED” into the Amazon.com search engine. However if this answer to the question is censored or not allowed to post due to the marketing rule, I understand as I am in full agreement with that rule.

Now, let’s look at a few of your questions. I am going to approach your last question first. . . “why is Rev written in such an unorthodox manner that it cannot be understood in the traditional way?” The answer to this has been partially answered by previous commenters. Jesus stated clearly that there were some things that were given for his disciples and other believers to know, but not the unbelievers. Thus, Jesus explained that he taught in parables. When the disciples stated however that they did not understand the parables Jesus showed some surprise that they did not know how to interpret the parables. Jesus was Rabbani, meaning “master teacher.” Once I realized this I decided to search diligently into the way Jesus said to understand parables and prophecies and not so much what denominational teachers said. The search started with the teaching Jesus gave the disciples about the “Parable of the Sower” which essentially, if viewed logically and systematically, is a vocabulary lesson of how each word is defined by another until the whole of the parable is taken from figurative to literal wording – much more understandable.

This one lesson then lead to attempting to find other parables to understand in this way, and indeed the lessons of the parables began opening a spiritual path and universe that many are only able to talk about and hope for. Then came the realization that prophecies are nothing more than the recording of dreams and visions which are but spiritual parables and can be interpreted in the same way. So I set forth to attempt to prove this by setting a goal to remove the book of The Revelation from its alliterative state. Easier said than done. It took several years with the help of many students and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to find enough words to make the story found in the recordings by the Apostle John more usable, and several more years to put it in a presentable form.

Now understand, this has not been done to show off my knowledge nor to make claim of having a gift of prophecy. What I have done could be done by anyone with the fortitude to stick to a specific, while difficult, goal and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Nearly all of the words of The Revelation, and all other prophecies and parables, are defined in the Holy Bible as we know it. All we need do is set our hearts toward finding them and “rightly dividing the word of God” to make them useful

For instance, the idea of horses in modern combat. First we see surprising pictures from the middle east battles where some of the militants do indeed ride horses in battle even in today’s modern mechanized warfare. This is because in some areas the sandy dessert conditions can cause extreme mechanical problems making most machinery unusable. But that’s really not the issue here. When you look up the word “horse” in the scriptures to find its alliterative meaning you eventually find that a horse, in ancient battle, was essential to the armies of that time as recorded by Ezekiel (28:4), and that the word horsemen referred to soldiers (NEH 2:9). Therefore the literal word for the spiritual word of “horse” would be “army.” When one substitutes the word into the prophecy, along with the many other words found in the vision, the meaning becomes much more understandable and timely.

Please understand, this systematic study of the prophecies is not one to be taken lightly and cannot be done effectively without dedicating one’s self to the study of the Holy Word of God. The confusion over the meanings of the alliterative language has come simply because a great many of well-meaning theologians have interpreted many of the words from figurative to literal, but when they could find no more they declared the rest of the words undefinable and tried to mix the literal with the figurative; causing confusion.

After the alliterations are interpreted, the next step must be to understand how such visions can be shown to fit into Earth’s history. One person stated correctly that the book of The Revelation was as a completion of Daniel’s prophecies. As such, since Daniel always correlated the dreams and vision he spoke of as being fulfilled by history, the same would be true of the book of The Revelation. Most people understand this but the question is how does one know which historical event is to be correlated with which prophetic event? This is where the guidance of the Holy Spirit is of utmost importance, but the facts must be clear, points cannot be skipped nor ignored, and historical accuracy and witnesses must be demanded.
Why were the prophecies put in this hidden language? To protect it. To protect us as believers. But now its prophecies are all but completed, provable by time; and once proven they cannot be denied.

Blessings on your studies of God’s Word.

L- 04.08.01 – IT’s SPRING! — GARDEN TIME!

We’ve had a very mild winter here in northeast Oklahoma during the past few months. It’s been hard to wait for spring to actually get here so we can get out in our small yard and deck to piddle around in nature and get our hands, etc., dirty. But we’ve still been having some cold nights and we have not yet planted anything to give our home lives more color and taste – more life. That’s what spring and gardening is all about really, isn’t it? Regardless what scale you do it, as a huge multi-acre farmer, a patio flower potter or anywhere in between the idea of raising plants is much like the concept of raising one’s level of life to its next level. Gardening helps the gardener who has any sense of spirit to more fully allow that spirit to work. Here’s how:

The first thing a gardener must do is to decide where to place the garden. For most this is a simple task, simply deciding if they are going to place it in a more obvious place, like for a flower garden, for all to see or someplace more hidden where the vegetables can grow more freely. Others are more limited than this. The soil their working with may be rocky or root bound. It may not have the nutritional value needed by plants for them to thrive. In these cases the place to put a garden may be more limited and more work must be done.

Once the location for the garden is chosen, then we must plot out the area. This area must have access to sunlight at least part of the day. Water is essential and must be adequate enough to not cause the plants to dehydrate. Now if we are going to use and prepare the soil it must be prepared. This means removing the old grass and other plants and turning and loosening the soil to give the new plants the advantage to have loose and fresh soil to grow in. If the soil is seen to be missing some mineral or perhaps lacks a good source of water then we must find a way to provide this or the plants will be doomed from the beginning. Also some additional minerals may be necessary, as well as a acid/alkaline balance may be necessary to supplement in the ground for most plants to grow their best.

Once the dirt for your plants is properly prepared it is usually best to place border markers of some sort around the garden spot to prevent intruders, especially if you live in an area where rabbits and other critters run free. This boundary can be in the form of a low cost fence or a low wall, but it should be placed underground around the perimeter of the garden area since most critters and other plant life can burrow under a ground surface obstruction. Birds are notorious for flying over fences and scratching up the seed you so diligently sowed, so it’s best to plant a few extra as a precaution. If you end up with too many plants they can be thinned out later.

So, finally the garden plot, rather in your yard or in a flower pot, is ready. Where’s the seed? What do you plant? Hopefully you’ve figured that out a few weeks ago as you sat in your warm house dreaming of spring. You take the seed out to the garden, start poking holes in the dirt along the guide strings you’ve plotted and drop the seed into the holes with gentle sweeps of your hand to cover them with dirt. After spending some time doing this the garden is lovingly filled with seed and you go to get the hose. You spray water over the garden giving a little prayer for the gift of life to enter the seed and stand back looking at you’re day’s work and the awesome feeling of being a part of the creative process.

Then wait. We wait for the first visible signs of life as the little plants heads and first leaves appear above the ground proving that the process of life has been working even before it could be seen. Then we wait a while longer and see the plants grow into sturdy stalks and vines with full grown stems and leaves. And just a while longer those plants start to bloom with glorious colors and perhaps even fruit. Then, one day anticipated by all gardeners, comes harvest which for most is a glorious time of festivities rather the harvest comes from a field of orange trees in Florida or a single tomato plant in a Japanese balcony flower pot. Have a good, fresh meal, you deserve it.

What a wonderful experience gardening is. One which is much like the garden of our souls. We come into this world with little recognition or guidance as to what to do with it. We know we want to experience life and what is good in it. But how? How do we plant our spiritual garden? Where do we put it? Do we plant flowers for all to see, or vegetables and herbs to eat? How do we know the difference? How do we decide?

We watch others tending their own lives, their own plots of ground known as their bodies, and start learning how we want to live ourselves. We then start realizing that there are, indeed, different types of foods which come from different types of flowers, making it necessary for us to choose what we will plant in our own lives to grow spiritually. Some plants give beautiful flowers, but they either produce no fruit at all, or it is inedible. Some plants produce wonderful fruit, while others produce leaves, stems or even roots which are delicious. It is up to us to decide how we want our lives to fit into this world. But how do we plant our spiritual garden?

Much the same way as we planted our earthly garden, we must first decide if your spiritual garden is to be up front in our lives, for all to see, or will it be in the back yard kept as a more private experience. Either is fine. But keep in mind that while you may prefer not to openly wear your spirituality “on your shirt sleeve,” that people can see over your backyard fence and still see your garden is always a possibility. Likewise, having your spirituality in your “front yard” where you show it openly does not mean that you are necessarily growing spiritually, one must first experience a spiritual transformation within before the true beauty of spiritual flowers can begin to grow and blossom within one’s life to help and be appreciated by others.

The ground within your own life must be prepared. Through time as a young person your experiences have caused the “dirt,” that is the spiritual soil to become hardened. It has taken on much unnecessary and unwelcomed weeds and brambles which, if you are to be spiritually minded, must be uprooted and removed. The soil must be plowed and tilled to loosen your thoughts which have become hardened to “miracles” and unseen forces and boundaries must be placed upon who you allow to work in your garden and what you allow to enter it.

Then it is time to find the seed you want to plant, and to plant it carefully. Choose your mentors with much consideration and prayer. Read their written works as you would fertilize virgin ground. Cover these seeds completely with the loving ground of your soul’s faith and await the miracle of life. And if your faith is but as “a mustard seed,” as the Master Teacher said, your garden will begin to sprout and grow and flower and produce good fruits of righteousness so much desired by all those who seek spiritual things.

And what are the fruits of a spiritual life? The Apostle Paul told the Galatians what a spiritual person would be able to harvest in their lives:

“. . . the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”  (GAL 5:22-23—NIV)

I hope everyone in the northern hemisphere has a wonderful spring with your planting time. Please, make it a promise to yourself to try a new spiritual plant this spring and summer. For those of you who live south of the equator, have a wonderful fall and I hope your harvest is bountiful. May your love be made perfect, your joy complete, your peace beyond measure, your forbearance toward all, your kindness shown purely, your goodness undeniable, your faithfulness absolute, your gentleness show strength and your self-control impeccable.

Shalom

More Prophetic Evidence Revealed

ETM Press Release – ETM Publishing of Oklahoma, U.S.A. has just republished the second volume of its series of books called REVEALED. It has been thirty years since Robert O. Robbins’ book called What the Righteous Desire to See was first published in 1988. At that time it received mixed reviews with people showing less interest in its historical proof of prophecy than the more popular pretribulation theory being widely taught at that time. Since that first publication date, much has happened concerning world events. The Iron Curtain was torn down shortly after this book was first published with Russia becoming more westernized shortly thereafter, causing the world politics to seemingly get closer as Robbins implied would happen in his book.

The radical Islamic believers have raised their heads once again in the world’s history and have declared jihad against the U.S. and all other of the world’s unbelievers in the Islamic faith, proving them to continue to be the “scourge of the Earth” even as Robbins implied they would be in his book. And the super-rich of the world, the multi-billionaires who control most of the true wealth and productivity of the planet, have begun to show their true intent with the “forgiveness” of the bankers for the economic crash in the U.S. in 2009 at the end of George W. Bush’s second term of Presidential office. And now the election of a presumed billionaire to the presidency who has had no previous political experience could fall in line with prophecy according to Robbins. While not in detail, all these events can be found lightly indicative of things which the Apostle John saw in his vision and wrote about in The Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ nearly 2000 years ago.

It is because history seems to be marching on at a much faster pace than previously toward the fulfillment of prophecy that E.T.M. Publishing has decided to republish this book series. The main body of the series is the same as it was in its original edition, but the original book has been broken into four books which appear now in two volumes under the name of REVEALED.

“This was done to make the work less ‘intimidating,’” said Mr. Robbins. “I don’t claim to be a great writer. The way I have chosen to understand and explain prophecy is one which was taught by Hebraic schools during “Old Testament” times, and it was the way Jesus taught his disciples to understand prophecies and parables. I explain this system in Volume One of REVEALED. In Volume Two, I have carefully correlated the events prophesied by John in The Revelation with history. While I go beyond what can be proven by history and current events to be accurate prophecy, and while I make some predictions which may surprise people about what I believe will occur in the near future, I am the first to recognize that the proof of prophecy can only be absolute with the passage of time. What I predict, like perhaps the way the ‘mark of the beast’ shall be given, may not occur the exact way I have stated in the book but since the mark represents an economic system for materialistic control then the purpose is more important than the method.”

Since the original words of the book have been kept as first published for the reader to see that there have been no significant changes in what Robbins said thirty years ago, updating has been done in the form of footnotes. Volume One contains two separate books, The Prophet’s Language and The Prophet’s Dictionary are both presented to teach the reader the system of understanding the prophetic words and where they can be found in the Christian Holy Bible. Volume Two gives the “interpretation” of the figurative language found in The Book of The Revelation into literal language and the correlation of the prophecy with history, called What the Righteous Desire to See.

Both volumes are now available for anyone to obtain at Amazon.com. It can either be read “free” through the Prime membership library or purchased through the Kindle bookstore. Printed copies are not yet available. Profits from the sale of this work will be used toward the expenses of publicizing and distributing this message of hope and toward the ministry of helping those in need as required. To discuss this topic or more information concerning this “middle path” ministry please visit the Espirational Faith blog at espirational.org.

WAIT! Who’s Really Christian Here?

Okay, so with the title of this article post one might be able to tell somewhat of what it is about. You, the reader, might think, “Well, isn’t he the brave soul who thinks he has the authority to judge in such a way.” Or perhaps you will wonder where I got my facts or even had the time or incentive to get them. But in most cases you who are reading this post will be simply shocked that anyone would have the gall to publish such a bold statement such as this and declare me either brave, insane or a fool with satanic tendencies of rudeness. Think what you will, after nearly seventy years of living on this planet which is filled with the intensity of so called intelligent creatures who each believe they are God’s own special gift to the world I have finally come to the point of realizing the real irony of humans, us, trying to govern ourselves or to even imagine we can comprehend our Creator.

Through my life, I have lived in this country called the United States which has boldly been called a “Christian nation” by many. I have intentionally visited many denominational churches, preaching in some, singing in many, and listening to the preachers teach their theologies in all. Amazingly, all of the churches I have visited who called themselves “Christian” did have one basic message between them: that being that Jesus is the Christ who was born, killed upon a cross, buried, resurrected and taken somewhere with most teaching the hope of him returning sometime in the future.  But the similitude ends there. The way these things happened and what is promised to happen after that differs in as many ways as there are mountains on the planet. Beyond this maze of so called messages of truth are several other similar mazes of other people attempting to live the best way they know how by following leaders like Mohammed, Gautama the Buddha, and others, they believe or have been taught have found the truth. Each of these groups, these religions, like Christianity claim absolute possession of the truth with no one else having right to make that claim.

If you’ve been reading my posts on this blog then you’ve seen me ask the question before of what does it really mean to be “Christian.” I don’t really expect you to be able to just sit down at your computer and start typing your answer immediately. But we have entered into a period of time in our world’s history where everyone making the claim that they are “Christian” have a very clear definition in their minds of what that means. There seems to be three major ways to study the Christian Holy Bible and each of these ways tends to shape a person’s concept of what it means to live the “Christ life.” Interestingly, the three basic concepts of the Christ life follow the Christian teaching of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit  — the “Trinity.”

Traditionalists (One God – The Father). Many denominations believe that in order to be like Jesus, the Christ, one must study the Old Testament history which leads up to the birth of Jesus and to help bring, no, to demand the establishment of the Kingdom of God on Earth even if it means doing so by force. They teach a readiness to take up arms when necessary. They believe there is no place in heaven for the so called “coward,” and devote much time in studying the scriptures to prove their responsibility to God regardless what it takes. These believers become single minded, single purposed, and single hearted. Put simply, it is best to stay out of their way or they may consider you God’s enemy and think it their responsibility to destroy you. They see Jesus as a quiet warrior who accepted a fate of being innocently sentenced unjustly to death, being crucified and later, to be able to show his followers that they really had nothing to fear, not even death itself and to pay the penalty of being less than perfect required by Jewish law. Why? Because Jesus’ resurrection proved the believers’ power over death, the “King of Terror.” These believers emphasize the basic Hebraic belief that there is but one God, but they have various ways of proclaiming that belief all best summarized by the fact that they in essence are stating that Jesus was and is God. This fact, and the belief in a promise that sometime in the future Jesus is promised to return to Earth to establish the Kingdom of God on this planet is of prime importance to these believers. Thus this body of believers’ faith is based on the history of this world and is centered upon overcoming this world to eventually establish God’s kingdom upon it to make it a paradisiacal existence as it was originally created to be.

Reformers (God, the Son). Other churches believe that Jesus, the Son of God, taught a radically different method of overcoming the chaos of the world and giving freedom to those in slavery and poverty. This group of believers trusts less on the violent tendencies taught in the Old Testament scriptures and more upon the power of loving God and one another. Their message is less that the truth is for a specific chosen group of people and more that whoever chooses to do so can be a part of the spiritual kingdom of God. They teach less of the history of the Old Testament and more of the life of Jesus and what this master teacher taught,  insisting that it is the emulation of the Christ which will bring peace to the world. They are less concerned with the letter of the law and teach more of the method of truth as taught by Jesus. They study more deeply such Christ teachings as the “Sermon on the Mount” and his teachings and actions concerning the parables and miracles. While recognizing the hope for a future kingdom these believers place less emphasis on prophecy and more on trying to live their current lives in a way they believe is honorable to their spiritual king, Jesus. Many seem to believe that while the evidence in the physical world appears to show otherwise the Kingdom of God is already established in this world through those who believe and attempt to emulate Jesus’ lifestyle.

Spiritualists (God, the Spirit). Then there is this third group of believers with gatherings which appear much smaller but with messages which seems at times much more powerful. That is, if the message is comprehended. They are the ones which believe the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of God is already dwelling within people. The way the Kingdom of Heaven will be established as reality on this planet will be for us to recognize that fact of the indwelling spirit of perfect love and allow it to live through us. These groups tend not to have denominational or even religious boundaries for they believe all “seekers of truth” are seeking the same God and that all religions, including Christians, are serving the same God. It is this indwelling Spirit, best recognized as Agape, that these believers proclaim as the fullness of the “unseen God.” They attempt to show the essence of what they believe God’s love to be with no barriers to others due to race, ethnicity, education, wealth, political stance or religious background. They believe the Kingdom of God to be a spiritual one visible only by the love their varied members have for one another. Their idea of who Jesus was, is that of a highly esteemed master teacher of life alongside of, or sometimes leader of, many other esteemed avatars like Mohammed, the Buddha and others. They generally do not believe the idea of a physical return of Jesus, but rather believe his “second coming” is that of the Holy Spirit indwelling believers through which the whole planet could be “saved” when enough people are controlled by that same Holy Spirit.

So there, in a short, simplified description, we can see the Christian concept of Christ as it has shaped our present. The Protestant, Evangelical conservative believers who believe they must now establish the Kingdom of God. By force if necessary. The Protestant, Catholic, liberalistic believers who teach that we must emulate Christ and serve people regardless of who they are. And those who attempt to live a spiritual life and be less involved with worldly philosophies, attempting to live the spiritual life of peace and love in the world today in the hope that if enough people do so that eventually it will change the world.

So who is right? None of them. All of them. The irony of this whole scenario is that this trichotomy of philosophies, while they seem to be somewhat in opposition to one another and in fact at times find their leaders in direct debate, they must through the Holy Spirit somehow lay aside their differences and find their commonalities before the glorious Kingdom of Heaven can come to Earth and the Kingdom of God be established on the planet.

The conservative traditionalist must lay aside their thought that the spiritualists’ teachings of a possible kingdom based on agape love is a weak faith which can lead only to failure. The reformers must recognize and study more of the Old Testament history of the church and how and why Jesus taught as he did. The spiritualists must be more open with their faith and allow the Holy Spirit to be expressed within them more boldly that others might see and experience the peace and love they claim to be possible through such faith. In short, each group has but just part of the wholeness of the truth.

It is only when we all recognize that we are all on this planet together as seekers of the Truth and that we only have a vague image of it shadowed in a few pages of some ancient books that we will begin to comprehend how we can bring the Kingdom of God to this planet. We must recognize that the place where our neighbor is currently at in their faith is, at the time, the best place for them. Yet if we believe what we say we believe then we must actively live our own faith, allowing the same right and privilege to do so to everyone else. The most major hurdle to be made toward bringing the Kingdom of God to Earth will be what Jesus said were the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul and mind, and to love thy neighbor as thyself. Where are you at on this challenge? Where is your church?

A Newborn Year — A Newborn Life

To the new born, everything is new. While usually their eyes are still sealed shut, the new world around them is vibrant with sounds, smells and textures. All of which are spell binding. All of which are wonderfully compelling. All of which create a drive to want to see. To the person who is newly born into the true faith of the Spirit of God, of Christ, within us it is no different. These new born believers hear the sounds of truth around them. They smell the essence of the incense of prayers for them. And they feel the love which is now their life not only within them but all around them. Grow, little children, sleep, observe, play; for soon you will see with your own eyes, your own spirits, that which many have only ever dreamed.

We are holding now a three day old New Year in our hands, what do we do to help it grow and develop into the type of year we can be proud to be part of? We are also holding the occassion to allow the Spirit of the Christ child opportunity to grow within us. The question is will we?

There is only one way a baby grows: By someone loving it enough to provide its basic needs of air, water, milk, warmth and protection. As newborns grow they learn to do these things themselves, but for now they must be comfortable with being cared for by those who love them.

The same is true with this new year. While often uncomfortable, the inability to know the future is actually quite a blessing at times. To know the future would mean that we also would feel responsible to attempt to change that future if something were foreknown to be harmful to someone we love or ourselves. This type of responsibility could cause irresponsible actions by us because we would feel compelled to take actions which, on a universal-eternal basis, may not be prudent.

No, for the most part we know not the future. The year just past has proven that to most of us with the social-political events which have shook the globe. But the globe has been shaken before, yet it still spins on its axis and travels around the sun at a steady pace. And yes, we are still here.

The fact is that the spiritual Kingdom of God is but still an infant, a newborn. The Apostle, Paul, stated that he, representing the early church, “travailed in birth” (GAL 4:19) awaiting the rebirth of the believers in God through the Christ Spirit. And John said, in the book of The Revelation, that the birth of the Christian Church was as if the Hebrew faith were pregnant, and “travailing in birth,” or that is to be in labor (REV 12:2). The early church was the rebirth of mankind’s faith in the true Holy Spirit of God.

It has now been two allegorical days since that birth (2PE 3:8) and while much growth has occurred within the past 2000 years for most of us our eyes are not yet open. Many of us are frustrated and dismayed that the world is still in what seems to be even worse turmoil than historians have recorded to have occurred in the past. So we weep and shout and proclaim ourselves the ones to bring about the promised Kingdom of God on Earth, even with violence if necessary. Yet, even this decision shows that we do not understand Christ’s words when he said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” (JON 18:36)

We are still infants, when it comes to true faith in God. Even as this year we call 2017 is but three days old today, the universal, invisible church called “Christian” is just now entering its third day of existence in the Spiritual realm. It is now time for believers to open our eyes to see the possibilities of the spiritual world which cannot be seen, but sensed only in our hearts and minds – only in our spirits. By doing so, and only by doing so, shall we see the fulfillment of the line in the Lord’s Prayer: “ Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”  (MAT 6:9-11)

May God bless you all this coming year.
